COIN X-RAY
How it works

What the X-ray reads, and how.

Every scan reads public Solana data at that moment: the coin's first transactions, its largest holders, those wallets' first transactions, and the dev's recent history. Prices and names come from GeckoTerminal.

Bundled at launch

The launch block is the Solana block the coin was created in. Anyone buying in that same block had to be part of the launch transaction bundle or a bot watching for it, because regular buyers can't see the coin yet. We also show the first 3 blocks (about one second) and how much those early wallets still hold now.

Same funding source

For the top holders and early buyers, we find each wallet's very first transaction and who sent it SOL. Wallets that share a funder, or fund each other, form a group. Addresses with 1,000 or more transactions, like exchanges and trading bots, are left out as funders, because thousands of unrelated people withdraw from them.

Fresh wallets

A wallet is fresh if its first-ever transaction came less than 3 days before the coin launched. We add up what fresh wallets hold among the wallets we checked.

Top holders

The 20 largest token accounts, from the chain. Accounts owned by programs (the pump.fun bonding curve, PumpSwap and other pools) and burn addresses are marked and left out of the top 10 number.

The dev

On pump.fun, the dev is the creator recorded on the coin's bonding curve. Otherwise it's the wallet that sent the launch transaction. We look through the dev's recent transactions for other coins they created and check what each is worth now. Coins under $10k are marked dead.

Creator fees

pump.fun pays each coin's creator a cut of trading fees, into a vault on the bonding curve and, after graduation, on PumpSwap. We show who the creator on record is, what's waiting in both vaults, and what the dev claimed in their recent history.

The verdict

Each finding over a threshold becomes a warning or a red flag:

  • Launch-block buys: warning at 5% of supply, red flag at 15%.
  • Launch wallets still holding: warning at 3%, red flag at 10%.
  • Largest funding group: warning at 4%, red flag at 10%.
  • Fresh wallets: warning at 8%, red flag at 20%.
  • Top 10 wallets: warning at 25%, red flag at 40%.
  • Dev holding: warning at 3%, red flag at 10%. The dev funding early buyers is always a red flag.
  • Dev's other coins: warning at 5, red flag at 15 (or 5 dead ones).
  • Mint or freeze authority still on: red flag.

Two or more red flags reads Red flags. One red flag, or any warning, reads Be careful. None reads No big red flags, which is not the same as safe.

What it can't see

  • Wallets outside the top 20 holders and the first few hundred launch transactions.
  • Holdings moved to centralized exchanges.
  • Links between wallets that go through exchanges, bridges or several hops.
  • Promotions paid off-chain.
